IT’S LOTTERY TIME!! Please Help Support 715 Mohawk Squadron!

Hello, All! We hope you and yours are continuing to keep well and healthy during these challenging times!

The Air Cadet League Ontario Provincial Committee Lottery is completely ONLINE again this year, and you can share the link with everyone you know in Ontario! (Winners must have an Ontario address.)

The Lottery this year is ALL CASH PRIZES, with a GRAND PRIZE of $58,000! All tickets purchased before 10 am on April 1st will be entered in the Early Bird draw for $4500!

715 still has a ticket quota to meet, so we would really appreciate your help getting the word out and sharing our Lottery Ticket Link.

Please help support our Air Cadet Program and 715 Mohawk Squadron by purchasing tickets and sharing our dedicated Lottery Ticket Link. You can email it to friends and family, share it on social media, send individual texts and messages, anything to get the message out and help get ALL of our tickets sold!

If you have any questions, please let us know. This is not only a fundraiser to support the Provincial Flying Program, it also provides financial support directly to our Squadron when we meet our ticket quota!

We look forward to your participation and support!

A Message from Capt Young, Deputy Commanding Officer of 715 Mohawk

Dear Parents and Staff of 715 Mohawk

First, and most importantly, I hope that this email finds you well and coping with this trying time. If there is ever any way that we can help, please let us know.

In an effort to maintain connections and hopefully keep the training going to a limited extent, I have put together a Google Classroom for all of the cadets. As the shutdown continues I will be adding lessons as we go. The first week of lessons is already there. Let me be clear, there is NO EXPECTATION that the cadets complete this work. However, if they have time, or they would like to enhance their training, this resource is there. The Classroom also gives us a secure way to communicate with the cadets so I do really encourage everyone to join. I am planning some virtual check-ins as well and that info will go via Google Classroom.

It is likely that the cadets already know all about Classroom but just to be sure here are some details.

You can find it at http://classroom.google.com or via the Google Classroom App on any app store. In order to access the classroom, the cadets will need their personal Gmail account. I do not believe that the squadron classroom will work with their school emails. If someone finds out something different, please let me know, but tests with the Toronto school board emails have failed so far (I have access to TDSB personally but not HDSB or HCDSB).

First, email 715mohawk and request the Google Classroom Code for 715.

Once you have received the code, simply select ”add a class” and enter the code.

If you have any other questions, please email the squadron – 715mohawk and I will get back to you.

I wish everyone all the best and I’m looking forward to seeing everyone again once full training resumes.

Take Care
Captain Stephen Young
Deputy Commanding Officer
715 Mohawk RCACS

Message from the Commanding Officer of 715 Mohawk Squadron

Dear Cadets and Parents,

The official order from Formation (Ottawa) has come down, and effective immediately, all cadet squadrons and corps are no longer to parade for the next few weeks. 715 Squadron will "Standdown" until our first training night back, 7 April 2020. That means we will not be conducting any of our mandatory or optional training which includes: Monday night band, Regular training or effective speaking on Tuesday nights, Sports or Range on Wednesdays. As well, the April FTX and tagging have been cancelled.

This is an incredibly dynamic situation which could change, but these are our orders until further notice. Please remember to keep an eye on social media, our google calendar, and for emails from the SSC with updated information. Wishing everyone a safe and healthy few weeks off.

Captain Denise Ohanian-May, CD

Commanding Officer, 715 Mohawk RCACS

Thank You & Happy Holidays!

Good Morning, All!

We just wanted to take a moment to thank all of those Cadets and parents who came out to help with Bagging the last two days. It was much appreciated. We will let you all know how we did on the first parade night in the New Year!

The SSC would like to wish you and yours a very happy holiday season, and all the best in 2020! We look forward to seeing all of you on January 7th!

Good Evening, All!!

We are in need of some support from a few Parents for our Bagging Event!

It is going to be VERY busy for the Cadets and your SSC (which translates to a GREAT fundraising opportunity for your Cadets!).

So, we could use a little help supporting all of the shifts. If you are available, please email me the shift that would be best for you. We don’t need a lot of people, just a couple to help give the SSC and Staff a little flexibility, and help the Cadets if needed.

Sunday Morning – covered
Sunday Afternoon – 2 parent volunteers
Monday Morning – 2 parent volunteers
Monday Afternoon – 2 parent volunteers
Monday Evening – covered

If you are available to come to Fortinos and help us out, it would be much appreciated!
Thank you in advance for your support!

SIGN UP FOR BAGGING AT FORTINOS

Good Evening, Everyone!!
We hope you are enjoying your weekend so far.

We have our big BAGGING Fundraiser at Fortinos coming up and we need more cadets!
Specifically we need more people to sign up for Monday afternoon and evening sessions. Cadets are asked to do 1-2 sessions. But cadets going on March break (including those on the standby list) should be doing 2+.

Since we have lost our Bingo income, this is a VERY important fundraiser, especially with the big trip coming up in March. Please encourage your Cadet(s) to sign up and offer their help. Your support is greatly appreciated!

They can sign up here:
